                                                 CATHOLIC GROUP ITINERARY
                                                    NOVEMBER 13-20, 2007

DAY 01 –    MANILA- HONGKONG-TEL AVIV
Depart NAIA via Hong Kong to connect to Tel Aviv with  EVENING ARRIVAL  at  Ben Gurion Airport around 2200LT. Will be met / assist then transfer to MERCURE BAT YAM or SIMILAR in TEL AVIV for Check In. Overnight Stay at hotel.

DAY 02-    JAFFA-CAESAREA-HAIFA-NAZARETH-CANA
After breakfast check out for visit at JAFFA / CEASAREA / STELLA MARIS CHURCH stopping at the Carmelite monastery of St. Elijah on Mt. Carmel. Stop at HAIFA for a panoramic view of the city and view the Bahai Shrine and its Persian gardens.  On to NAZARETH the city of Jesus' childhood and youth; Visit the Church of Annunciation where we can find the original cave where angel Gabriel announced to Mary that she would bear a child by the Holy Spirit. Also visit Joseph's workshop where Jesus spent most of his childhood days. Drive on to the village of CANA, where Jesus performed the Miracle of changing water into wine at the wedding ceremony and we will give chance for married couples to renew their vows in a thanksgiving mass. .Proceed to ROYAL PLAZA HOTEL or similar for dinner and overnight.  (B/L/D)

DAY 03-   TIBERIAS-CAPERNAUM-MT.OF BEATITUDES-TABGHA-MT TABOR
Hotel breakfast. Today’s tour includes visit to Mount of Beatitudes (where we will have our morning Eucharistic celebration). Continue to Capernaum to see the remains of a 3rd century synagogue, where it is believed Jesus often preached, TABGHA,  The Primacy Of Peter, Mount Tabor For The Church Of Transfiguration, Boat Ride Over The Sea Of Galilee. With Last Stop at Yardenit. the traditional site of Jesus' baptism by John the Baptist where we will have the chance to renew our baptismal vows. , Return to hotel for dinner and overnight at Royal Plaza Hotel or similar in Tiberias.  (B/L/D)

DAY 04-   TIBERIAS-JERUSALEM-BETHLEHEM-EIN KAREM
Hotel Breakfast. Morning Check Out And Drive To Bethlehem For Visit toThe Church Of Nativity which is built over the Grotto where Jesus was born. See the chapel of St.  Jerome, formerly  a  cave  where he translated the Bible to Latin. Here we will have our  thanksgiving mass, a  pre-Christmas  Celebration on the  Land  of  our  Lord  Jesus. Have some time to shop the best religious articles at the Holy land. Next Stop Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptist, and see the  Church  of  St.  John the Baptist.  Ascend to the Church of Visitation or Church Of The Magnificat where Mama Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth. 

Check In At Novotel Hotel Or Similar In Jerusalem For Dinner And Overnight Stay. (B/L/D)

DAY 05   FULL DAY IN JERUSALEM-TEL AVIV
Hotel Breakfast. Morning Visit To Pater Noster Church, where Our Lord taught the “Our Father”
and to  The Church Of Ascencion, Walk Along Palm Sunday Road to arrive at Dominus Flevit , where Jesus  saw  the destruction of Jerusalem. Continue to the  Garden Of Gethsemane then To Church Of All Nations Or Church Of Agony ,  where  Jesus  prayed and  sweated  drops of blood as he waited to be betrayed to the Romans. Drive to the Kidron valley to the House of Caiphas (Church of Peter in Gallicantu) at Mt. Zion. Enter The Old City To Visit The Pool Of Bethesda  where  Jesus  cured  an invalid  man  and on to the  Church Of St. Anne. Continue to the Praetorium, site of Jesus’ public trial and condemnation. View the ancient Fortress of Antonia, Seat of the Roman prosecutor. Walk along the Via Dolorosa, passing the 14 Stations of  the  Cross  to  the  Church of the Holy  Sepulchre which  is   erected   on   the   site  of  the  Crucifixion,  Burial  and Resurrection of Jesus. Late afternoon, drive towards Tel Aviv to converge with other groups for the big celebration of the 50th Diplomatic relations between Israel and the Philippines. Then back To Novotel Hotel Or Similar for Dinner and Overnight. (B/L/D)
   
Day 06 –     FULL DAY AT DEAD SEA AREA
Hotel Breakfast.  After a late evening celebration, its time to relax as we head towards the Dead Sea Area. First visit Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Then Swim/ Float At Dead Sea and Enjoy The Spa Facilities There. In The Afternoon, Visit Beit Shean, one of the best Romans archaeological remains and see the colonnaded streets and Roman baths still on its best form. Return to Novotel Or Similar In Jerusalem For Dinner And Overnight. (B/L/D)

DAY 07   JERUSALEM-MT.ZION-YAD VASHEM-TELAVIV
Hotel Breakfast. Morning Check Out For visit to Mount Zion and see the King David Tomb and at the Upper room which is the  Room Of The Last Supper. On to Dormition Abbey ,  traditional site of Mama Mary’s assumption to heaven. Proceed to temple Mount to view the Dome of the Rock and the Western Wall or the  Wailing Wall,  the Original Site Of The Temple Where Jesus Was Presented To The Father. Then Proceed To Visit Scale Model Of Jerusalem And Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum. Prepare for transfer to the airport for evening return flight to Manila via
Hong Kong on El Al Airlines at ETD 2050. (Will Have Late Lunch on This Day Prior Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport). (B/L)

DAY 08-      HONGKONG-MANILA

Day 1: Manila-Bangkok-Tel Aviv

Departure from Manila airport to Tel-Aviv via Bangkok.

Day 2: Caesarea-Mt. Carmel- Stella Maris- Or HaCarmel- Muchrakka- Cana- Nazareth.

Arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport.  Meet and assist and after airport formalities, drive to Caesarea, the Roman capital and port where Paul was imprisoned & the first gentile was converted. Continue to Haifa- visit Elijah’s tomb- Stella Maris and the Carmelites monastery- view Haifa port from Mt. Carmel Drive to the   Muchrakka (the place where Elijah fought the Baal prophets)- visit "Or HaCarmel" Massianic Jews Congregation. Drive on the beautiful northern roads to Cana, where the first miracle of Jesus took place. Continue to Nazareth and visit the Church of Annunciation.   Overnight in Tiberias  (B/L/D)

Day 3: Sea of Galilee- Capernaum- Yardenit

Start the day at Yardenit – with a Baptismal service in the Jordan River. Learn about the discovery of an ancient Galilee fishing boat at Gennesaret. Visit the sites of the Sermon on the Mount, the feeding of the Five Thousand and Jesus' Appearance to the fisherman disciples after the Resurrection. Drive to Capernaum, the town of Jesus and the remains of its synagogue then sail across the Sea of Galilee to Ein Gev for a St.Peter fish lunch on the lakeside, visit Mt. Of Beatitudes.  Over night in Tiberias. (B/L/D)

Day 4: -Beit Shean –Megiddo- Mini Israel

After breakfast visit Beit Shean the ruins of the Roman/Byzantine cities. Then Drive to Megiddo the site of the epic Armageddon - view 21 layers of civilization. Continue south to Mini Israel and transfer to the hotel for rest. After dinner we proceed and converge with other groups for the big celebration of the 50th Diplomatic relations between Israel and the Philippines Over night at hotel in Tel Aviv. (B/L/D)

Day 5 :  Jerusalem –Old City- City of David

View the Holy Temple from Mt. of Olives, follow in the footsteps of Jesus and the Galileans - walk down to
visit Gethsemane - the Church of All Nations. Visit Mt. Zion the Upper room and King’s David Tomb. Visit
Dominus Flevit. Continue across the Kidron valley via the Dung Gate into the Old City then stop at the Western Wall (Kotel) Judaism’s most sacred site. Continue to the Garden Tomb – remember the resurrection and spend time for prayer and reflection.  Over night in Jerusalem. (B/L/D)

Day 6 : Judean Desert- Qumran–Massada - Dead Sea.
Heading East to the Judea Desert. Pass by Jericho, the oldest city in the world for over view. Observe Mt of
Temptation. Continue south to the Dead Sea, the lowest place on Earth. Visit Qumran, where the Dead
Sea scrolls were discovered. Visit Massada - ruins of King Herod’s mountaintop fortress and last stronghold
of the Jewish revolt against the Romans in 73 C.E.    (Ascend and descend by cable car).   Swim & float in the Dead Sea. Have a special time to meditate and pray in the views of the Judean Desert. Overnight in Jerusalem. (B/L/D)

Day 7 : Bethlehem- Jerusalem- Old City
 
Visit Yad Vashem - National Memorial & Museum of the Holocaust, including: the Valley of the Communities & the Children’s Memorial. Drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of Nativity. After lunch Drive to Tel Aviv. Start the tour with a visit to the old port of Jaffa and the artists’ colony and the  Flea Market. Then we will go to Neve Tzedek and Rothschild blvd to see the  'White City' main areas. The 'White City' is the story of Tel Aviv; from it’s beginning to today and is a wonderful opportunity to savor the experience of life in Tel Aviv, in the past and present. Farewell dinner and transfer to airport for return flight to Manila via Hongkong .

Day 8: Arrival to Manila afternoon.
