The United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) - Bohol Chapter spearheads the local celebration of the 2011 National Architecture Week (NAW) on December 4-7, 2011.
With the theme "Architecture and the Allied Arts", this year's observance aims to help the architect be more aware and conscientious of the potentials of a multi-disciplinary collaboration to the profession, and be more understanding of the issues and demands surrounding the professional practice.â€
UAP Bohol led by Chapter President Arch. Joseph Hector Balonda, UAP begins their weeklong celebration today with a Holy Mass at the Island City Mall.
Following a motorcade around the city, a 2011 NAW Architecture Exhibit, showcasing the works of member architects, as well as student works, will be unveiled on Monday, December 5, 2011, 10:00AM at the 4th Level of the BQ Mall. The exhibit will run until Friday, December 9, 6PM, after which a Benefit Reggae Rock Concert featuring bands of member architects, top billed by the popular reggae band Brownbuds, with Tinta and SERJ as opening acts.
