A Grieving Mother
« on: November 20, 2007, 07:57:09 PM »

This is my lola, Flora Ligalig. She's 86 years old now and four of her sons, my father the fourth one, have passed away. The irony of our time is that the mother is burying her children.

Two days after Papa died in Velez Hospital in Cebu, Nay Flora had not known of her favorite son's death. The other children had difficulty telling her of the truth.

Again, I would like to thank you, my Tubag Bohol loved ones, for standing by us in our times of grief.

So many questions were left unanswered...... anger, pains and imptiness what a Mother feels to let her son go ahead, I am sorry to    say, it is a strange twist of fate. We must have to leave earlier or later, we are all mortal. Rest in Peace!

It must be so difficult for a mother to bury her own child.  So sad...

You can never really live anyone else's life, not even your child's.
The influence you exert is through your own life, and what you've
      become yourself.

Hello Sir Mike,
When I saw the picture, I cried as I remember my Nanay..she had a white casket too.... My nephews and nieces were crying that time...asking our Nanay to wake up...

Until now my 3-year-old nephew is still asking kung kanus-a kono mo uli among Nanay nga magdala og gasa niya from Tagbilaran...(bread and toy car)....

Hi Mike,

That is the fact of life........ alam kong sobrang masakit talaga dahil nobody will replace ur papa, and i can't also imagine a mother buries her own child. I still can recall my mother's feelings kadtong namatay pud akong egsoon nga laki going to 3 yirs old na sya way back 1983 when i was stil 7 yirs old mahinumduman pa gjud naho ang gibati sa akong nanay.. Just pray and God will surely give u strenght during this time.

In Christ,
Carina

Your Papa is in my thoughts, Mike.

May the Lord shower him with love and grace that only the Father can give.

Through Christ Our Lord and Redeemer,
