Will CJ Renato Corona Be Convicted
« on: February 20, 2012, 06:21:33 PM »
THE impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona at the Senate continues to draw grassroots support including from the over two million members of the country’s cooperative sector.

Rene Buenviaje, president of the partylist ‘Coop NATCCO,’ in a statement said the continuing revelations in the Senate on the chief  justice’s “hidden” bank accounts have cast a pall of suspicion in the public’s mind as to his continuing fitness to continue to preside over the affairs of the country’s highest tribunal.

“Paano pa ba natin mapagkakatiwalaan ang isang taong may nililihim?  Ang chief justice, dapat malinis, walang tinatago, walang nililihim,” Buenviaje said.

Coop-NATCCO is a sectoral group comprising some 700 cooperatives in the country and boast of around two million members.

The group’s avowal of support for the ongoing impeachment trial of Corona comes after local government unit  leaders headed by Camarines Sur Gov. Luis Ray ‘LRay’ Villafuerte last week openly backed the Corona ouster process. - source: Journal.com.ph

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
