Press Release from the House of Representatives
PINOYS IN CHICAGO, US MIDWEST URGED TO HELP IN SEARCH FOR HAZING SUSPECT
House Committee on Public Information Chair and Committee on Foreign Affairs Member Representative Bernadette Herrera-Dy is the principal author of House Bill 3467 or the Revised Anti-Hazing Law.
Overseas Filipinos living in Chicago and the Midwestern states of the US should report to law enforcement authorities if and when they see the suspect in the hazing death of UST law student Horacio “Atio†Castillo, III.
It is their civic duty to help seek justice for Atio Castillo and help US and Philippine law enforcement authorities find the suspect, Ralph Trangia, who first flew to Taiwan and then to Chicago.

The movements of these suspects in the tortuous hazing of Castillo must be severely curtailed so that they can be found and arrested. They must not be allowed to elude arrest and prosecution to the fullest extent of our laws.
