The two complementing programs are aimed at upgrading the genetic makeup of the local existing livestock and poultry animals while augmenting the livelihood of local raisers.
Jaballa said that through animal genetic improvement, farmer-raisers are being equipped in boosting their livelihood through one, increasing the income.
“Aside from uplifting their economic condition, the project also has hugely contributed in achieving the province’s food security and self-sufficiency agenda,†he added.
Also, the animal dispersal is one of the province’s continuing measures to maintain its status as the country’s leader of livestock and poultry industry.(PNA)
