The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) on Tuesday provided hot meals and clothing for the 5,000 families rendered homeless in a big fire which hit a densely populated area in Diliman, Quezon City.
PRC officials said on Monday at 11:05 pm, a fire hit an informal settler’s residential area on Agham Road Corner Quezon Avenue in Diliman, Quezon City.
Two PRC Quezon City Chapter ambulances were dispatched, together with the PRC national headquarters’ fire truck.
Following this action, PRC’s mobile kitchen was also deployed around 6:50 am Tuesday to provide food and clothing for the victims.
Two PRC ambulances provided medical attention to 10 patients, two of which were rushed to East Avenue Medical Center for immediate medical treatment. (PNA)
