A faith healer is under investigation by the police and city health office (CHO) here due to complaints of malpractice of medicine lodged by his supposed patients.
Under investigation was a certain Angel Aquino, 43, of Barangay Wawa, Lingayen who was complained by his supposed patients of collecting large amount of money from them.
Upon receiving the complaint, personnel of the CHO headed by Dr. Isaias De Los Santos, along with the police, raided the house where the faith healer was allegedly treating his patients on January 18 and promptly arrested him.
The team was able to recover several syringes containing still undetermined substance which were allegedly being injected by the faith healer to women who allegedly wanted to become pregnant.
All these are set to be subjected to laboratory examination by the PNP Crime Laboratory.
Also recovered were two notebooks where the faith healer recorded the payments he received from his patients.
His supposed patients, namely Glenda Fernandez, 35, of Barangay Bulawen, Virginia Octit, 38, of Barangay Navato and Arlene Tandoc, 38, of Barangay Hacienda, all from the municipality of Bugallon, Pangasinan, were brought to the CHO for medical examination.
