Sharp Philippines Corp. (SPC), one of the country’s biggest home appliance manufacturers, expects to double its sales in the country to P6 billion in the next two years driven by the strong demand for environment-friendly, healthy innovative products and enhanced customer care relations.

At Thursday’s press launch for the company’s unveiling of its latest innovations called “Beyond Expectations”, SPC president and general manager Juntaro Shimamoto said they are strengthening its competitiveness with new product offerings and enhancements of existing programs.

“By 2012 we aim to double our current P3 billion sales to P6 billion,” Shimamoto said.

The doubling of sales by 2012, Shimamoto said, would mark the double anniversary celebrations of SPC’s 30th year of operation and Sharp Corp. of Japan’s 100th year in the country. SPC is a joint venture between Sharp Corp. of Japan and Pilipinas Development Corp. - Manila Bulletin
