The Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) will expand and improve its facility in Bohol, in tandem with SMART, to provide connectivity of the province with the global information highways.
This was bared by Ernesto Alberto, senior vice president and head of PLDT's Corporate Business Group (CBG), during his meeting with Gov. Erico B. Aumentado at the Capitol, this city.
Alberto conferred with the governor upon instruction of PLDT Chairman Manny V. Pangilinan and SMART President Napoleon Nazareno who responded positively to Aumentado's strong representation for PLDT and SMART to open up gateways in Bohol for the burgeoning call center industry.
The governor wrote a letter to Chairman Pangilinan and conferred personally with Nazareno in Manila last week on PLDT's and SMART's connectivity projects for call centers.
