The First Consolidated Bank will open its Roxas (Palawan) Branch on Monday, May 25, amid a blessing and inauguration ceremony attended by local government officials and officials of the bank.
Roxas Mayor Dennis Sabando and Elizabeth Sabando, president of the Federation of Entrepreneurs for Northern Palawan Development, will give messages of support to the bank from the local government and community, respectively.
FCB Vice president Joseph M. Lacea said the opening of this new branch will help bring the financial services of the bank in the northern part of Palawan.
Roxas Branch will serve the vast agricultural, fishing and tourism industries in the northern part of the province.
FCB has branches in Puerto Princesa City, Narra, Brooke’s Point and Quezon, but all of these are in the sourthern part of Palawan.
In addition to the branches, FCB will provide Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) and electronic fund transfer and point-of-sale services in accredited businesses in Palawan, Vice president Lacea said.
FCB Roxas Branch is one of four branches that the bank will open this year. Earlier, the bank opened its Tagbilaran City Square Branch. The other new branches are FCB Bataraza Branch in Bataraza, Palawan; and FCB Lazi in Lazi, Siquijor.
FCB Roxas Branch is a full service branch, that can provide a variety of services such as savings, demand, and time deposits; foreign and domestic remittances; SSS collection and SSS Pensioners’ Remittance Program; commercial, industrial, and agricultural loans; motor vehicleloans loans; salary loans for public school teachers; loans for SSS pensioners, and loans for small and medium enterprises.
FCB has now 49 branches and nine marketing and promotional centers nationwide, making the bank one of the biggest private development banks in the country.
