A former policeman and his wife together with two others were arrested by joint operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for possession of illegal drugs and firearms early Sunday morning in Maribojoc town.
The suspects, identified as Roberto Ramirez and wife Maria Salve Barbante were the subject of a search warrant issued last June 28 by Regional Trial Court
Branch 49 Judge Fernando Fuentes III, for violating Sec 11 and 12 of RA 9165.
The police team raided the couple's residence in barangay Pagnitoan, Maribojoc town and chanced upon two suspects identified as Randy Reboldad and Gualberto Mangala.
Seized from the four suspects were one deck of suspected "shabu," 3 pieces of cellophane containing dried "marijuana" leaves, one bottle containing "marijuana" roots and 2 units of cellular phones.
Police also took from the possession of suspects one Smith and Wesson 357 Magnum revolver and one Smith and Wesson .38 Special revolver with live ammunition.
Charges are now being prepared by the CIDG against the four suspects who are presently detained at the Bohol Provincial Police Office in Camp Dagohoy, this city.
