Traitors, backbiters, two faced people, liars, deceivers. All these are faces of liars.

Liars are the scum of the earth and I cannot stand them. With the same tongue they will praise you, and with the same tongue they will destroy you behind your back amongst other people.

The Lord is correct in that liars will inherit damnation.
