Personnel of the Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO) have been reminded to refrain from engaging in indiscriminate firing this holiday season.

APPO information officer Nida L. Gregas said that APPO director Sr. Supt. Epifanio Bragais had already announced the muzzle taping of issued firearms to prevent personnel from indiscriminate firing.

The schedule for the sealing of firearm will be disseminated to Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel after announcement and proper guidance from higher headquarters, Bragais added.

"The taping of the muzzle is done to make sure their government-issued firearms were not used indiscriminately for the New Year celebrations. This is also to remind our personnel of the consequences if they engaged in indiscriminate firing," he said.

Bragais said those caught violating or firing their guns in welcoming the New Year would be investigated and face possible criminal and administrative charges for illegal discharge of weapons. - pna

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
