P30.236M worth of BuB funded water projects completed in Western Visayas
ILOILO CITY, July 2 (PNA) -- Some PHP30.236 million worth of water projects identified and funded under the Bottom-up-Budgeting approach in Western Visayas were completed as of first half of 2015.
The projects were implemented by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) using the 2013 funds.
DILG data showed three completed and fully functional projects in Balete, Ibajay and Libacao in Aklan and four projects in towns of Caluya, Lau-an, Patnongon and San Remegio in Antique.
In Negros Occidental, 16 projects were finished composed of three each in Cauayan and Murcia and one each in Bago City, Escalante City, Himamaylan City, Sagay City, Sipalay City, Hinobaan, Ilog, Kabankalan, La Castellana and Moises Padilla.
Fourteen local government units in the region are supposed to benefit from BuB projects that will be implemented using the 2013 funds under the tutelage of the DILG.
The rest of the projects are already ongoing.
On the other hand, 77 projects will be implemented under the 2014 BuB in 56 LGUs in the region amounting to PHP130.533 million.
Of the target projects 58 have already an approved feasibility study while five are in still in their preparation stage. (PNA)
