Negros Occidental governor reiterates support to advocacies of PNP

BACOLOD CITY, Jan. 11 (PNA) -- Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. has reiterated the support of the provincial government to the advocacies of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Marañon gave the assurance during PNP New Year’s Call to the Governor led by Senior Superintendent William Señoron, director of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO), held Wednesday at Nature’s Village Resort in Talisay City.

“Do not hesitate to come to us and tell us your problems so we can talk and solve them together,” the governor said.

The New Year’s Call was attended by NOCPPO’s Command Group, staff officers, special staff, and the chiefs of police of the 12 component cities and 19 municipalities of Negros Occidental.

Marañon also lauded the dedication and good performance of the NOCPPO in the past year, congratulating the police force for a job well done in maintaining the peace and order situation in the province.

“I always believe that a place can never progress if there is no peace,” the governor said.

Moreover, Marañon said the Police Regional Office-18 in Negros Island Region has become successful in its first year through the hard work and cooperation of its personnel despite the challenge of limited resources.

“Continue to pray and make the province more peaceful and drug-free,” he further told the police officials.

For his part, Señoron expressed the sincere appreciation of the NOCPPO to Marañon for his support to the PNP.

"As 2017 starts with its new challenges at work, it is also a time to pay a new year’s call to the highest official of the province,” he said.

Señoron added that the police will remain committed to its vigorous offensive operations, particularly in the fight against illegal drugs and other forms of criminality.

From July 1 to December 31, a total of 14,882 drug personalities surrendered to NOCPPO, including 12,663 users and 2,219 pushers.(PNA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
