6 'big-time' drug personalities fall in Tacurong CityTACURONG CITY, April 4 (PNA) -- Joint police and military forces arrested Tuesday six alleged big-time drug personalities during a raid at a suspected drug den here, the Army said.
Capt. Arvin John Encinas, spokesperson of the 6th Infantry Division based in Camp Siongco, Maguindanao, said joint operatives from Army’s Task Force “Talakudong†and PNP arrested raided a suspected drug den at Purok Urban, Barangay San Emanual, Tacurong City in Sultan Kudarat province at around 4 a.m.
Encinas identified the arrested drug personalities as Gary Domingo, 30, a resident of Tacurong City; Maricel Cortez, 22, of Davao City; Rusta Mamaluba, 44, and Paquito Mamalub, 34, both residents of Datu Paglas, Maguindanao; and Christial Paul Dulyosa, 18, and another minor, both residents of Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat.
"All of them have been in the watchlist of police and anti-drug units," Encinas told the Philippine News Agency (PNA).
"In fact, they have warrants of arrest for drug cases and other crimes," he added.
Encinas said the raiding team seized from the suspects a homemade caliber 7.62 pistol, a caliber .38, a caliber .22 and suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) worth P4,000.
Now detained at the Tacurong City police station, the suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Acts of 2002.
The minor among the arrested suspects will be turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
Encinas lauded the locals who provided Task Force Talakudong with vital information that led to the arrest of the suspects. (PNA)
