The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Supplemental Feeding Program is now being implemented in various Day Care centers in Western Visayas.

Sally Gayoma, DSWD Regional Office 6 in-charge of the Supplemental Feeding Program, said the program, intended to mitigate hunger among 185,198 school children, is now on-going in 5,557 Day Care Centers in Western Visayas.

The program also aims to address the problem of malnutrition among children.

She further said that with the budget of P277 million for the region, the National Food Authority (NFA), which they have contracted to deliver rice, is now completing its delivery of the iron fortified rice that would be good for 120 days.

Aside from rice, the respective local government units (LGUs) where these Day Care centers are located, were also given budget for the preparation of the hot meals with viand.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
