DPWH-2 upgrades Lasam-Gagabutan road

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Dec. 14 (PNA)--The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office 2 has completed the concrete pavement of the Lasam-Gagabutan Road in Cagayan province, providing smoother transport condition to motorists and commuters traversing along the area.

The project includes the pavement of a 2,092 lineal meters of Portland concrete pavement with a width of 6.70 meters and thickness of 0.28 meters.

DPWH-2 Regional Director Melanio Briosos said that the newly-concreted road section eases the traffic flow in the area, provides comfort to the riding public, and lessens the occurrence of accidents.

“This is also vital in boosting socio-economic development as delivery of basic needs and social services will be hastened,” he added.

The PHP62.6 million worth project is expected to boost rapid economic growth in the province by attracting investors that would open more business opportunities and employment for the residents. (PNA)
