A doctor died while two other sustained minor injuries in a vehicular accident early Wednesday morning at the Archbishop Reyes flyover in Barangay (village) Luz, Cebu City.

Dr. Alan Yu, 60 of #3 Yucca Road, Rosario Heights, Bacolod City, was declared dead on arrival at the Chong Hua Hospital in Cebu City, traffic investigator Police Officer 3 Wilfredo Caperida said.

Caperida, who was driving his maroon Mitsubishi Adventure with plate number FFH 464, was coming from Barangay (village) Talamban area and was going towards uptown Cebu City when he was hit by a taxicab coming from the opposite direction at past 6 a.m.

Driver Polares Gonimil, 44, of Buhisan, with passenger Reshyl Timtim, 23, both sustained minor injuries.

Caperida confirmed that Gonimil, who was driving a taxi with the marking "RD-SAMC," was at fault since the vehicle he was driving had encroached on the opposite lane and had bumped the side of the front portion of Yu’s vehicle.

Caperida said Gonimil claimed that he accidentally swerved towards the opposite lane. However, Caperida believed that the taxi driver was running at high speed.

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Bwahaha! Nganong naapil man ang traffic investigator sa aksidente?  ;D
