Antique government recognizes media contribution in development
SAN JOSE De BUENAVISTA, Antique, Jan. 3 (PNA) -- The provincial government of Antique through its Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) recognized the role of the media in development, Tuesday.
Antique PSWDO Lazaro G. Petinglay said that media in the province have really contributed much in the promotion and advocacies, particularly on social development.
Certificates of appreciation were handed to managers of the radio stations, cable televisions, publishers and editors of newspapers by OIC Gov. Edgar Denosta, Board Members Fernando Corvera and Pio Sumande together with PSWDO Petinglay.
Rev. Fr. Edione R. Febrero, station manager of the Catholic owned DYKA, Philippine Information Agency Manager Vicente “Totei†Villavert and Philippine News Agency Satellite Bureau Chief Annabel Java-Petinglay were on hand to receive the certificates.
Denosta conveyed his thanks to the media for being the provincial government's partner in 2016. (PNA)
