Loboc, Bohol Music Building
« on: May 29, 2009, 06:07:46 PM »
Gov. Erico Aumentado recently made the ground-breaking of a two-classroom school building for the Loboc School of Music in Loboc.

The ground-breaking and the inauguration of three other projects in Loboc last May 16 coincided with the birthday of Peregrina Aumentado, wife of Governor Aumentado.

Aumentado inaugurated three other projects of the provincial government, a school building in Camayaan National High; the restoration of the provincial road, leading to Cross Dako in Barangay Cambanse; and a bailey bridge, connecting Barangay Tigbao and Barangay Bagumbayan after the old bailey bridge was washed out during the 1964 flood.

These projects are joint undertakings of the Provincial Government of Bohol, the Local Government of Loboc, and Congressman Adam Jala.

The two-classroom building is located at the Loboc School of Music campus on top of the hill in Jimili-an, Loboc, Bohol. It will be funded at a cost of P1 million.

With this recent donation, the Loboc School of Music has now six classrooms, four of which were earlier donated by the First Consolidated Bank, Congressman Adam Jala and Undersecretary of Transportation Eladio Jala.

Aside from the school buildings, the Loboc Youth Education Association has received donations for musical instruments for the bands and musical groups that were organized by the association.

At present, the Loboc School of Music is offering classes in note reading and musical instrumentation.  To date there are 511 students of the project broken own as follows: Batch 1 in 2007 of 154 students, Batch 2 in 2008 of 198 students and Batch 3 in 2009 with 159 students.  The project has a total of 297 musical instruments distributed to qualified students.

Since the implementation of its Loboc Music Project, the Loboc Youth Education Association has already organized the Loboc Youth Ambassador Band, the Loboc Ambassadors Rondalla, Oy National High School Band in Barangay Oy, Camayaan National High School Band, Loboc National High School Band and PMI Loboc Academy High School Band.

The Loboc Youth Ambassadors Band is performing on Friday and Saturday nights at the Loboc Childrens’ Theater and on invitations.  The Loboc Ambassadors Rondalla is also performing on invitation.

The Loboc Music Project is a poverty alleviation project of the Loboc Youth Education Association, Inc (LYEA), a non-government organization, organized and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission in 2004.

Its music project is supported by the Philippines-Australia Community Assistance Program (PACAP), the First Consolidated Bank, LGU Loboc, Provincial Government of Bohol, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and many other donors and supporters.

LYEA aims to promote, develop and train the youth the art of music and the use of musical instruments, pursue an integrated scholarship program for the youth with music and use of musical instrument, and establish, maintain and operate a school of music in Loboc. - The Bohol Chronicle

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
