By Bohol Sunday PostFor Mayor Rosemarie "May" Imboy, being mayor of Loay town is a constant struggle to make a difference.
As if being the first lady mayor is not enough. Mayor Imboy rode on the wealth and popularity of the Lim pedigree whose family is in shipping, cable TV, heavy equipment leadership, general merchandizing, hotel and resorts and lately mining.
Born in comfort and luxury, Mayor May, the youngest in a brood of five, can afford to splurge in wild abandon if she so wishes and threw all cautions to the wind. Unlike her poor brethren in Loay, the worry of where to get the next meal is not found in her social vocabulary.
But she is no spoiled brat. Reared in an atmosphere of utmost religiosity, it must be this kind of upbringing that she endeared to the hearts and minds of every Loaynon.
