Here's good news for Parañaque City residents who are on the lookout for employment opportunities.
The city government will facilitate a one-day job-hiring for the SM branches in the city where different positions will be available.
According to Mayor Florencio M. Bernabe Jr., the activity will be coordinated by the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) of the Parañaque Livelihood Resource Management Office (PLRMO) headed by Doris Marquez.
The office has been credited with providing employment opportunities as well as livelihood training for local residents.
“This is a good opportunity for our constituents who are trying to find employment. We urge them to apply for the various vacant positions in the different SM branches,†Bernabe said.
The mayor added that he will continue to implement more policies and programs that will generate more jobs and livelihood opportunities for the city residents.
Positions for college graduates and undergraduates will be available. Among these are for clerk/cashiers, sales clerks, sales/utility/stock clerks, office assistants, inventory assistants and gift wrapping staff.
Applicants must submit their bio-data to PESO-PLRMO located at the Simplicio Cruz Compound in Barangay San Isidro (behind Uniwide Sucat) on or before January 25, 2010. They must undergo a job process orientation as well as the initial screening and interview procedures of the PESO-PLRMO.
Subsequent interviews of pre-qualified applicants will be made in the different SM branches as follows: SM Super Market (South Mall; Manila; Makati and Harrison Plaza) (January 27); SM Mall Of Asia (January 28); and SM Sucat (January 29), all starting simultaneously at 8 a.m.
