The Canadian Urban Institute (CUI) is seeking a highly motivated and self-directed Filipino to join our international team as Project Manager, Iloilo-Guimaras Region, Philippines. The role of this position, based in our Iloilo office, involves managing the Institute’s ongoing programs and initiatives in the region.
The CUI is a non-profit organization with a head office in Toronto, Canada and offices in the Philippines, Ethiopia, Ukraine and Jamaica. The CUI is dedicated to enhancing quality of life in urban areas across Canada and around the world. We bring together experts from different disciplines to connect people, resources and ideas to build strong communities and equitable, sustainable and competitive urban regions.
CUI has been active in the Iloilo-Guimaras region since 1993 supporting the Philippines’ continued thrust towards decentralization, building the capacity of local authorities for good governance and empowering communities in local decision-making.
The Project Manager will work under the leadership and management of the project’s Canada-based Program Manager or designate. The contractor agrees to also work under the guidance of the project’s Canada-based Senior Project Officer.
