SPECIALIST – EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION
The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) is responsible for the delivery of Australia’s Development Cooperation Program to the Philippines, one of the largest aid programs in the Philippines. AusAID is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and innovative person to fill the Education Specialist position in the Education Portfolio team.
The Education Specialist will contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of AusAID’s program in the Philippines, by providing expert advice on education issues to the Education Portfolio team, other portfolio teams, and senior managers at the Manila Post. The Education Specialist’s expertise on education issues will assist in: supporting AusAID’s broad basic education reform program, and its program of education to Muslim and Indigenous People including basic education in the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM); contributing to the planning, design, implementation and review of education initiatives; supporting AusAID’s dialogue with stakeholders and partners on education strategies, plans, programs and initiatives; and contributing to an analytical and research agenda on education issues.

The Position will be a full-time ongoing position based in AusAID’s Manila office. The successful candidate is expected to commence as soon as possible. The commencing salary of Php175,000 per month is negotiable depending upon qualifications and experience, with entitlements to leave, comprehensive health insurance and other conditions.
