Precisely, this is the reason why many are wallowing in poverty and misery. They have no plans of solving their problems and making lives better. Sometimes, they are happy, sometimes sad. When special occasions come, like election, fiesta and holidays, life is merrier and they enjoy it as if there is no more tomorrow. When misery comes, they let others solve their problems. There are many people anyway who are willing to do it for them.

And so we have many kababayans who are too dependent and virtually mendicants. It has become a social illness with no known cure.

During this time, many people want a change in government because perennial problems continue to exist. It's season again to tear down government and build a new one. The problem however is they will be changing personalities only and not the system, which is the real cause
