From the Introduction: By subtitling this collection “An Anthology of Philippine Postcolonial Poetry, this is precisely what I wish to editorially endorse, what I wish the prospective reader (local or translocal) to remember, what I intend to announce at the outset: these poems, like the rest of Philippine literature in English, will in fact be largely incomprehensible when decontextualized from the histories that engendered them–particularly the violent histories of colonization that the Philippines, as a geopolitical and indeed national reality, has endured.

On my bedside table: an unused and unread book on drug interactions, my cell phone and a small tub of china gel (my version of tiger's balm)

the first of this thread (as shown above) and a heap of all other books. hahaha

what else? Oh, yea! the santo nga gikulit gikan sa old (read: antique nga tugas) railway track sa sugar plantation up north.
naa pa juy katangag nga haskang dakua nga lansang (morag kumagku ka dak-a). Napalit naku sa Christmas bazaar-night market last year at Php300.00 pesos. A steal already.

when the natural light in my room is favorable. it's actually the holy family. the only size  I like nga available. though I was looking for St. Ignatius, St. Augustine or Our Lady of Guadalupe :)

anyhow, I got the calling card of the owner kay just in case, pwede daw mo order, custom-made.

It must be comforting to have them near you at night. Keeps the bad vibes away.

I miss my lola's San Antonio de Padua, wish I had it with me right now.

On my table: tissue, alarm clock, water

In my first drawer: flash light

In my second drawer:some chocolates, BP meter,  pen and journal

in my third my small dvd player and some movies...

In so many ways, yes. Sa kilid, naa say wooden Ifugao harvest god ug usa ka buntis nga anito. hahhaa
I find pregnant women sexy. One of my dream book project though is to shoot local pregnant women, in nude, for a coffeetable book.

I would love to see that book puhon. It's weird that you mentioned that. I was just looking at Halle Berry's photo spread in a magazine, and was thinking how radiant and beautiful she looked pregnant. Women are most beautiful walking down the aisle inig kasal, and also, when they're pregnant.

How about women who just look pregnant? (mura'g buntis kay ning awas ang fats sa tiyan)
