Time travel to the past and a touch of nostalgia? Try a caleza ride, the newest attraction in Tubigon.
The Mayor Luna Piezas announced the municipality has six calezas that one can choose from for a ride from the pier to any part of the town.
This is a way to reminisce the parada tradition as a means of transportation in the past, according to Piezas.
“This time, it would be more beneficial, specially that we would like to boost the town’s tourism sector and encourage more tourists to visit our place,” the mayor said.
Tubigon holds Tanda festival annually, that covers three major components- - Agro-Fair, StreetDancing and Anyag sa Tubigon.
The executive committee, chaired by Dennis Balbero, has come up with the idea of parading Anyag sa Tubigon winners down to the runners-up on a caleza during the fiesta parade.
