i believe it isn't always so.  we know of stories when wealth becomes a curse.  oh, they're not only smart when it comes to money, they also use money to outsmart others of their money.  at least, that's what they say, from shakespeare's shylock to wall street's madoff.

exactly... makanumdom ko sa migo sa ako amo... when they move here from germany (hitler's time) ning dunggo sila sa Los Angeles... and then they planted poinsetta (in pots) dayun ilang ibaligya sa Christmas and the business boomed until now, daku na kaajo ila farm sa Sandiego... Nan niadtong panahona ug ordinaryo lang kag pangutok, mag negosyo kaha kag tanom? makabalo kaha ka nga in after 20 some years mahimo to shang "trend" sa kada balay every Christmas???

This is very true, Ms Da Binsi. In fact, being a sloth and lazy is frowned upon. Working hard and being fruitful in honest labor is encouraged. If I may share a verse from The Book of Proverbs:

"Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper and be satisfied."

If my memory serves me right, Jews were barred from owning land in Europe during the middle ages (as land ownership was a titular right for nobles; christian nobles) and were limited to working in the market, banking system, and jewelry work. That is why they are successful in business and marketing as for a time (a considerable one at that), jews were limited to financial fields of interest.

They brought that strength when they migrated abroad.

Jews are also exclusively Jewish-oriented. Jews help fellow Jews.
