How to Beat Boredom on a Sunday

Are you one of those kind of fun loving, active, always-on-the-go kind of people? And do you have a boring, miserable routine on Sundays week after week? If you do, worry no more! With the following wikiHow steps, you can tackle this very issue.

19 Steps

1 Figure out what you really want to do a couple of days before the big day Sunday. Try going someplace different. Perhaps you could visit Chinatown or if you really want burgers, a fast food place, or your local mom and pop burger restaurant. Then, even if you're not that fun loving or active, you won't have such a boring day.

2 Join a group that has Sunday activities every week such as a bicycling club. Then your Sunday activity will always be scheduled.

3 Arrange for sports or other athletic activities that you really enjoy. If you adore soccer, for example, don't go to the park for a picnic. Head there with some friends and kick it up!!

4 Be creative! If the Superbowl is on, for example, invite some friends over, get lots of food out and party! You can paint your faces, place bets, and take lots of pictures!

5 Make Sunday a useful day: organize your house, wash your dog, dig in the yard, do homework, and so on. At the end of the day, you will be tired and have the knowledge that something productive was done (indeed it was!).

6 Think about Sunday as the first day of a new week instead of the last day of an ending week.

7 Practice your musical instrument if you have one. You will get much better musically with practice, and Sunday allows you to play for several hours--longer than you would normally have time for during the week.

8 Play card games. Play card games. Get interesting non-standard decks for games like Pit, Tichu and Bohnanza.

9 Get with a friend or two and take a bus ride or a train ride to another town within a two-hour ride. Make sure the schedule is such that you can go and return within your Sunday free time.

10 Volunteer. Help others by donating your time in a local hospital or soup kitchen.

11 Go to church. Who knows--maybe you will learn something new, unless your religion observes Saturday as the worship day.

12 If it's a rainy day outside, GO outside! Put on your coat and boots and go jump in those puddles! That's some ol' classic fun RIGHT there! OR you could read a fascinating and interesting book!

13 Write a poem, song, or a book. Be creative. You might be surprised of what you can come up with!

14 Play board games. Don't just think of Monopoly, Clue, Snakes and Ladders. Look into German-style board games like Carcassonne, Puerto Rico, Agricola and Settlers of Catan.

15 Play some video games.

16 Observe the outside world. Go out for a walk in the park, or just ride your bike. Think about the landscape and take photos of them.

17 The internet obviously is a good source to escape boredom. Just don't look at any inappropriate material.

18 Plan your outfit for the next day. Go get a new hairstyle, or just play around with your hair to see what looks good on you. Make sure to use a heat hair protection product if you use heat styling tools on your hair. Look in a magazine or go online to find new make-up ideas and test them out on you. It doesn't have to be all neutral make-up! Test out some crazy and fun looks too on you! Who knows, you might even find something that looks amazing on you!

19 Go outside and run around. Go play sports with a group of friends and most importantly--Have Fun!
