DILG urges LGU execs' participation in "i-City Summit"

MANILA, March 2 (PNA) -- The Department of Interior and Local Government has urged local chief executives and their IT officers to participate in the “i-City Summit for a Safer and Better Connected Philippines”, which will be held from March 13-14 at the EDSA Shangri-la Hotel.

”Local chief executives and their respective IT officer or information officer are invited to attend the activity,” the department said in a memorandum issued Thursday.

It noted that seats are limited and the first-come, first served rule will apply.

Technological firm Huawei Technologies Philippines Inc. will host the event, with the assistance of the Department of Interior Local Government and Department of Information and Communications Technology.

The summit aims to provide opportunities to develop the information superhighway of the country, which will help it to become “a global competitor in the digital economy.”

It will feature the latest technology, products and services, including policies and standards, which will assist in building a better and safer digital nation. (PNA)
Romans 10:9-10
"If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."
