Medical-dental mission benefits 1,000 people in San Remigio, AntiqueSAN JOSE De BUENAVISTA, Antique, March 1 (PNA) –- A medical-dental mission held in the hinterland Barangay Osorio I in San Remigio, Antique Wednesday benefited a total of 1,000 individuals.
The mission was a result of the partnership between the Antique provincial government led by Governor Rhodora J. Cadiao and San Remigio Municipal Government led by Mayor Glen Cabigunda, Philippine Army’s 82nd Infantry Battalion headed by Lieutenant Colonel Vener Morga and its Bravo Company Commander 1Lt. Noel Porras, Antique Provincial Police Office led by Police Director Leo Irwin Agpangan, Consultant for Peace and Order of the Governor's Office Margie Gadian and other national government agencies that supported it.
Dr. Ric Noel Naciongayo, Antique Provincial Health Officer, together with 10 doctors, eight dentists, 20 nurses and volunteers conducted medical checkup and tooth extraction starting early Wednesday morning at the Osorio I Elementary School.
Aside from the medical and dental treatment, there were also feeding of 1,000 patients, haircut availed by 100 individuals, and gift giving to 200 residents of Osorio I and II.
There was also donation of medical equipment, supplies and food for the health centers of the municipality. (PNA)
