Tuguegarao health officer cautions public vs. heat-related illnesses

TUGUEGARAO CITY, March 1 (PNA) -- The city health office on Wednesday advised the public to be aware of the diseases that come with the summer season and how to prevent them.

With summer almost here, city health officer, Dr. James Guzman, warned that adults could suffer hypertension and heat stroke during the hot weather while children could be prone to measles, sore eyes, sunburn, cough and colds, loose bowel movement and rabies caused by household pets.

To protect against these illnesses, Guzman recommended the use of umbrellas when going out, using handkerchiefs when coughing, taking a bath daily, cleaning one’s surroundings, and giving pets anti-rabies shots.

He also urged all Tuguegaraoguenos to immediately see a doctor at the first sign of an illness. (PNA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
