The new city chief of police has formally been installed today in a turn-over ceremony at the city police station her eon Wednesday.
Police Senior Supt. Julius Cesar Gornez, deputy director for administration of the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO), administered the turn-over of command from PSupt. Arcadio Jamora Jr. to PSupt. Gil del Prado.
Gornez represented police provincial director, PSenior Supt. Constantino Barot Jr., who had to address participants of the one-day seminar on the guidelines in the implementation of the petty cash disbursement scheme here.
Barot sent the nomination to the mayor last week after the sudden order for Jamora to report for schooling in Manila to qualify for promotion.
Mayor Dan Lim picked out Del Prado among four other nominees.
Del Prado was the deputy police provincial director for operations prior to his appointment.
Del Prado had just finished the course for Public Safety Officer Senior Executive Officers in Cebu a month ago under the schooling program of the Philippine National Police.
