Bohol Police Intelligence Seminar
« on: February 15, 2011, 01:12:39 AM »
Gov. Edgar Chatto assured the police of his full support in keeping peace and order while citing intelligence networking as crucial to effective law enforcement and curbing criminalities.

The top provincial capitol met with the key police officers from across the province during the opening the Bohol Police Intelligence Seminar at Camp Francisco Dagohoy here on Wednesday.

The five-day activity was conducted by the Regional Intelligence Division of the Police Regional Office (PRO 7) – Intelligence Division together with the Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) - Intelligence Section.

It was the first of its kind here considering that in many years past intelligence seminars had been held in the regional command.

The seminar was intended for all intelligence police non-commissioned officers (PNOCs) in Bohol to refresh and enhance the basic knowledge, skills, attitude and capability of PNP personnel within the intelligence community.

By this way, they can perform their tasks more effectively.

“The government is not sleeping. It is always awake to relate to the people its each responsibility,” the governor pointed out, adding that intelligence gathering is a crucial work of the police in the community.

“With a highly reliable intelligence network, we’ll find easy solutions to criminalities and hopefully decrease crime rates,” Chatto said.

The governor wary over the lack of PNP personnel in Bohol, “but we have many assets who are always ready to extend their support in keeping the province more peaceful.”

Meanwhile, the governor suggested to the police non-commissioned officers to coordinate with the top officials of their respective towns of assignment for the reconstitution or reactivation of the Municipal Peace and Order Councils (MPOCs).

The MPOCs can contribute a lot to sustaining peace and progress. Some towns already organized their new sets of MPOCs. Others have yet to form or reactivate theirs.

Chatto said the best police intelligence officer is one who can relate and respond well, particularly to generating and segregating information.

Bohol province has significantly sustained its peace and order condition as shown by the lowering crime rates over the years, although crimes in the provincial capital Tagbilaran City had gone high in 2010 compared to the total in 2009.

‘’If we continue working hand in hand with a quick delivery of information, we can attain what we dream for Bohol,” the governor said clearly to motivate the police intelligence retraining participants. (Jeff/EDCom)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
