Bohol International Learning Center holds student election

Bohol International Learning Center (BILC) has just finished its very first Student Body Organization (SBO) election.

The two parties, Democratic and Progressive, campaigned for a week.

Rebekah Rio of Fourth Year-Einstein, led the forefront of the Democratic party while Edgar Robles, another snior student, took the flag and marched on with his Progressive party as vice governor.

The campaign week started on June 25 and ended on June 28, with the voting day on June 29. The following school week, on Monday July 2, the winners were finally declared.

The newly elected SBO Governor, Rebekah Rio, being uncontested in the elections, Edgar Robles takes the position of Vice-Governor, Josh Josef Caberte as Secretary, Joyce Rañoa as Treasurer, Carlo Timothy Racho as Auditor, the duo of P.R.O's - both foreigners - one hailing all the way from South Korea, Jung Hyeon-Tae, the other from the United States - Las Vegas, Nevada - Darl Guigayoma.
          
To complete the line-up of officers, there's Fritz Capote and Kristin Noelle Caberte as Governor's Aides, the High School representative Christine Fisher, coming all the way from New York and Ziva Madanguit, the elementary representative.

But of course, last but definitely not the least, the SBO Advisers, Sir Omar Remendado and Sir Jim Acuña.

BILC has only been in session for less than one month, yet it is already on its way to a bright, colorful and successful maiden voyage.

Mindanao and other parts of the Visayas.

With this set of promising officers, along with the help of its adviser, BILC is on its way to enrich and to touch the lives of its student populace through its power team of proficient, experienced and professional mentors with proven track record in their respective fields.

Meanwhile, BILC takes pride in being the new MTG Center for Bohol starting S.Y. 2007-2008, with Dr. Jose L. Caberte as the Center Coordinator and MTG trainer.

BILC would like to invite all Grades 3, 4, 5 and 6 pupils and first year to fourth year high school students to take the qualifying examination of the 2007-2008 MTG MCFKTP, the initial phase and the gateway to being trained for national and international mathematics competition.

The qualifying exam is set on July 28, Saturday at 8 o'clock in the morning at the Bohol International Learning Center.

The principals, math coordinators and math teachers of all public and private schools in the province of Bohol are enjoined to facilitate their students' participation in the said screening.
