At long last, the
Bohol Diocesan Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BDMPC) will have a home of its own.
Bishop Leonardo Medroso laid the cornerstone of the gigantic edifice in rite Friday, last week at the actual site along CPG East Avenue, this city. The top diocesan head was assisted by Fr. Glicerio "Kiking" Magdoza, chairman of the Board of Directors of the cooperative.
The historic event was witnessed by their members of the board, officers of the aggrupation and other stakeholders.
Bishop Medroso, in the middle of the blessing rites, urged BDMPC leaders and members to unite for a common cause - the early completion of the multi-million project.
The other speakers included Fr. Magdoza, Msgr. Jeffrey Malanog and Congressional Chief of Staff Isabelito Tongco who representated 1st District Congressman Edgar Chatto.
"Let us dream while we're awake and put realization to this dream," the Boholano vicar-general and parish priest of the St. Joseph the Worker Cathedral stressed.
BACS I Academic Supervisor Winefreda Flores, a board member, emceed the proceedings.
Engr. Avelia Apayor De Vera and Architect Alberto Tocomo will undertake the construction of the building, a dream come true. - Bohol Chronicle
