The Alturas Group of Companies once again expresses its benevolence and concern for the less fortunate Boholanos with the monetary donations of P124,460 to the three beneficiaries, the top-rated community outreach radio programs "Tagbilaran-By-Night" of DYRD/DYZD, Sunshine Home, and the Free Clinics.
Alturas top management headed by Alturas PR and marketing manager, Loy M. Palapos, turned over the P84,000 check to "Tagbilaran-By-Night" anchorman Jerry Pabi at the radio station last Friday. Bohol Chronicle Radio Corporation general manager Peter Dejaresco was present during the turnover.
A P20,000 check was also given to Sunshine Home, an orphanage managed by the Catholic Women's League (CWL) Foundation Inc., when the Alturas Group of Companies also renewed its commitment to help the street children.
The donated amount was also turned over last Friday to DSWD Provincial Social Welfare Officer Constancia Tuñacao; Sunshine Home Executive Director Esperanza L. Relampagos; and CWL Diocesan President Esperanza E. Bruñidor.
The remaining amount of P20,460 goes to the Free Clinics, an annual medical outreach project where thousands of patients availed themselves of free medication and consultation.
The P124,460 total donations were the bulk of the gross proceeds in the ticket sales of the highly successful Alturas Drum and Bugle Corps Showdown 2007, which was held last November 24 at the CPG Sports Complex.
The Alturas Group of Companies has to date donated hundreds of thousands of pesos to DYRD's "Tagbilaran-By-Night" and Sunshine Home. The donations are given annually and are used as monetary aid to helpless folks, especially those who turn to the radio station to seek financial assistance for their medicine. --
