« on: December 13, 2010, 12:53:44 AM »
By Bohol Chronicle

Capitol will release before Christmas some P49.8 million in bonuses to its workers, who greeted with joy the announcement that the goodies include their long-denied Collective Negotiation Agreement (CAN) bonus.

Each regular employee of the provincial government stands to get P25,000, including the annual CNA bonus of P5,000 which was not given in many years by the past administration.

The bonus will also be received by the co-terminus and plantilla casual workers, who have benefits as those of the regular employees.

Gov. Edgar Chatto announced during the capitol convocation on Monday that contractual and job order casual workers can get P5,000 bonus each.

They should have worked for at least four months until last November 30, according to Provincial Budget Officer Valeria Orig.

The regular, co-terminus and plantilla casual employees, plus the elective officials, already number to some 1,300. They exclude the contractual and job order casual workers.

The governor announced the bonuses as he also awarded capitol's ten model employees for the month of October. Each awardee received a plaque of recognition and a sack of rice. (See captioned awarding foto.)

The awarding by the governor together with Vice Gov. Concepcion Lim and the provincial board members was graced by Civil Service Commission (CSC) Provincial Director Nissi Cherry Asis and the governor' wife and Bohol's First lady, Pureza Veloso-Chatto.

The governor further committed to reward the work dedication of the employees not just in the spirit of Christmas but also timely with the general assembly of the Bohol Provincial Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BOPE-MPC) on Friday.

BOPE-PMC officials and members led by their board chairman, Ruben Jimenez, vowed to strengthen their support to the initiatives of the Chatto-Lim administration.

The governor has repeatedly emphasized his policy of securing the welfare of the provincial employees for them to be more motivated in their jobs.

Inspired people work better, Chatto said. (Ven rebo Arigo)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
