A collector gave up more than P13,000 in collections to two suspected holduppers in Getafe town last week.
This was confirmed to Station DyTR by PO3 Bonifacio Pedoche of the Getafe PNP station.
In an interview, the policeman identified the victim as one Amy Umandam, 20, a native of Lamdagan street , Cogon district, Tagbilaran City .
Umandam is employed as a collector of the Taytay sa Kauswagan Inc. (TSKI), a lending firm.
Initial investigation revealed that the victim was riding on a motorcycle driven by one Mandy Melancolico, 28, married and a resident of Buyog, Getafe town.
Melancolico drives a habal-habal (motorcycle for hire).
The motorcycle was cruising along the boundary of barangays Campao Oriental and Buyog when the two suspects suddenly blocked their path.
The suspects who wore masks declared a hold-up and divested the victim of her collections.
The victim immediately reported the incident to the Getafe PNP. A follow-up operation was immediately conducted.
In an operation in Danao town, police operatives recovered a motorcycle believed to be the one used by the suspects.
The motorcycle is now in the custody of the Getafe PNP.
Pedoche revealed that they have place Melancolico under interrogation to determine if he knew the two suspects. - Sunday Post
