Orlando Bloom v Justin Bieber? There can only be one winner
This unseemly scrap has not been edifying, but it has been educational

NOW and again, I find myself looking in the mirror and not seeing Miranda Kerr looking back. Sure, we both like almonds and yoga, but that's where it ends. I have a broken nose, she does not. I could go on, but I won't.

Last week, the Australian model reportedly found herself at the centre of an actual, physical fight between her ex, Lord of the Rings actor Orlando Bloom, and rumoured former lover, the American singer Justin Bieber, refereed (it's thought) by Leonardo DiCaprio. This is the second time Kerr has had two men fight over her. Oh, our disparity.

Accounts of the roots of the dispute outside the Cipriani restaurant on Ibiza vary wildly, but a friend of a friend of a friend (which is as sound a source as any) believes it was sparked by a flirtation, possibly more, between Kerr and Bieber in 2012 that finally manifested itself via social media in last week's gnocchi-and-a-knock-up.

Of course, the story is moving apace. One paper now thinks nine (nine!) people are involved – a "nonagon of love", if you will. But we know what happened because Bieber gallantly relayed events on Instagram, first posting a goading photo of Kerr in a bikini then posting a photo of Bloom "crying". After presumably relocating his soul, he decided to delete the Kerr photo before going to some parties with Kanye West.

Naturally, celebrities are now picking sides. As a one-time Belieber (bite me), my inclination is to choose Bieber's but I've learned my lesson, so I'm abstaining from judgment.

Because that's the thing with celebrities. On one hand, these people are abstract and interchangeable. But if we can learn anything here, it's that we are all the same. The narrative was as misshapen as break-up narratives are. Had the fight been allowed to unravel naturally, sans minders and DiCaprio, Justin "floats like a butterfly, stings like a Bieb" Bieber may have won. The truth will always be cloudy. But the fact remains: love is love and heartbreak is heartbreak.

The whole fracas reminds me of the great PAJ (Pitt, Aniston, Jolie) triangle of 2004, a blueprint for celebrity heartache. After reading her interview in US Vogue in 2008 in which Aniston called out Jolie for being "uncool" for "gloating" about Pitt, our collective hearts cracked.

Turns out Bad Stuff Happens To Celebrities Too. It's merely a case of transplanting events and people, swapping Cipriani for a Scream pub. Fortunately, TMZ does not care about our ex's drunken text. And fortunately for me, most of my exes aren't really on social media, which allows for break-ups to be relatively dignified, playing out over a cigarette in the kitchen with my sister. But they are one and the same. And, as social media swells, it makes minor celebrities of us all.

It's precisely this relatability of celebrity drama that led a friend of mine into showbiz journalism. "Jen's subsequent relationship success and failures provide us with a benchmark for our own relationships," she once told me. If you were Bloom, what would you have done?

What keeps this story entertaining is the "choose your own adventure" element. We can choose what happens next. So Bloom, I'm choosing yours: pick up your bow and move to chapter five. Bieber is a hobbit and you're an elf, goddammit.

Justin Bieber Repeatedly Humiliated by Leonardo DiCaprio

The news item that future generations will read about in leather-bound tomes marked with gold-leafed letters "LEGENDS" just keeps producing new and exciting angles. Yes, the Ibiza restaurant scuffle between elfin warrior Orlando Bloom and goblin royalty Justin Bieber was initially intriguing for how A-list it all sounded. Early reports had other big celebrities like P. Diddy and Leonardo DiCaprio not only in attendance but actually APPLAUDING Bloom's efforts to rearrange Bieber's face. Now a woman who was there, 20-year-old Spanish model Anastasia Skolkova, tells The Mirror that Orlando Bloom's dinner companion Leonardo DiCaprio may have helped incite the incident by openly humiliating Bieber in front of everybody:

Bieber said something to DiCaprio - I don’t know exactly what, because it was seven or eight metres away. Leo brushed his hands at him, like, I don’t care what you say. Yeah, he flicked him away.

At that point, obviously, an injury-free scuffle ensued when Orlando Bloom jumped over a booth and gave chase. But The Mirror points out that DiCaprio's curt dismissal of Bieber's existence was only the latest in a series of such slights. For example at the most recent Cannes festival, Bieber was partying shirtless in a nightclub and sent his people over to where DiCaprio was sitting in order to see if he wanted to "party" with Bieber.

Justin was nodding and smiling in Leo's direction, but Leo just shook his head no and waved him off. He thinks Justin's a little twit.

Bieber ‘still bragging about Kerr’
Cover Media – 19 hours ago

Justin Bieber has allegedly bragged Miranda Kerr vowed to “make him a man”.

The 20-year-old pop star was reportedly attacked by Orlando Bloom in Ibiza last week after Justin allegedly taunted the actor about his relationship with the model, who split from Orlando last year after three years of marriage.

Various media reports suggested Justin had made a derogatory remark before the fracas.

And UK’s the Sunday People reports the pop star has yet to stop making bold claims, allegedly boasting Friday night that Miranda had once made the flirty remark about delivering him from boyhood.

Justin and Miranda reportedly struck up a friendship while the singer was performing at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2012.

UK newspaper The Mirror echoes reports this is believed to be the main reason behind his alleged altercation with Orlando, who reportedly tried to jump over a sofa and punch the pop star after he was taunted.

The Lord of the Rings star was reportedly then escorted out of the venue by security.

Justin later posted a sexy photo of Miranda on social media, followed by a photo of Orlando appearing to cry, which was later deleted.

“Orlando had heard that there had been some flirting going on and he wasn’t exactly over the moon about it, in fact he was furious,” a source told the outlet.

“At the time of the split it was certainly one of the motivations. He was, and still is, very cross about all of this. He can’t believe that someone he regards as a silly little boy has had this impact on his relationship. He is absolutely fuming.”

Orlando is meanwhile still on holiday in Ibiza, where he was recently seen partying with pal Leonardo DiCaprio.

The actor, 37, reportedly joined Leo at Lio Ibiza in the island’s capital last week, when he told The Mirror he’s being hailed a hero for allegedly putting Justin in his place.

“Everyone keeps telling me I’m their hero,” he was quoted saying.

A spokesperson for Miranda has not commented publicly on the latest claims.
