An Inspirational Story: Two Frogs

A Short Inspirational Story:Two Frogs

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died.

The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, "Did you not hear us?" The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time.

This story teaches two lessons:

1. There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it through the day.

2. A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes to kill them.

Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your path. The power of words... it is sometimes hard to understand that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak
words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time to encourage another.

In the meantime, and while Chatto and his group yet feel it is most necessary at this time to familiarize the people with their programs of government,  truths can wait to come from behind the cases of anomalies involving certain big projects in Bohol.  These include the following:

1) Bayongan Dam---The most expensive dam ever built on Earth.  According to then NEDA Director General Romulo Neri, the dam is the most expensive dam ever built in the world that caused the government to lose more than P3.6 billion

Aumentado defended the project.  The late Press Sec. Cerge Remonde had then claimed that the governor had made several follow-ups and guarded the issuance of checks.   Aumentado had sought Remonde’s assistance.

2) P165 million Talibon Dam---The Boholanos Against Corruption and Oppression led by architect Bobby Cericos, engineer Nilo Sarigumba and lawyer Timmy Cabatos had raised this issue to the Ombudsman.

3) Malinao Dam Spilllway---The dam falls short of its original spillway height by two meters, causing the government to lose P1.4 billion.  This is aside from another amount about to be loaned for the upgrading works costing P800 million.

4) The Bohol Circumferential Road Improvement Project (BCRIP), roads constructed by contractor RSD, and other road projects---Aumentado owes the Boholanos many explanations for the many substandard parts of BCRIP which were reworked (back jobs) when the budget of the project almost doubled the locally-funded projects.

Favorite big-time contractors Hanjin, CM Pancho, China and Gorones ought to follow international standard.

Local road projects which were implemented by other favorite contractor such as the RSD had work quality lesser than substandard.  Cracks were everywhere from Dagohoy to Trinidad.

There was apparent waste of public money.  Instead of demanding from the contractor to redo the bad works, Aumentado had secured additional budget for the asphalt overlay of the substandard project with reported overprice.  In cases as this, contractors could pocket government money twice.

Pinoy in UAE in trouble for taking photos of woman in toilet!

Pinoy in UAE on trial for taking photos of woman in toilet
05/08/2010 | 02:39 PM

After being snitched on by his own mobile phone, a Filipino legal accountant in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was haled to a Dubai court for allegedly taking photos of a Filipino woman using the toilet.

The 29-year-old Filipino faced the Court of First Instance for the incident that took place last February 4, UAE news site Khaleej Times had reported.

During the trial, the 28-year-old Filipino woman told prosecutors the incident happened at 8 a.m., while she was preparing to go to work.

She said she entered the bathroom and was careful because her sister warned her the day before about having found a mobile phone hidden in a skirt hanging on the toilet’s door.

At the time, her sister did not pay much attention to that, thinking that some woman may have forgotten her mobile phone in the toilet.

But as the complainant entered the bathroom, she noticed a rug hung on the door of the toilet. She saw a hole in the rug so she suspected that there could be a camera in there.

When she checked the rug, she saw an iPhone attached on its back with pins and covered with some clothes.

She said she found a 31-minute video stored in the phone (which was still taking video clips) and shut it off.

Closer scrutiny of the contents of the phone revealed photos of the defendant.

The woman informed her sister about the incident and they reported it to their workplace administration. They were advised to call the police and hand over the mobile phone to them.

When asked, the accused admitted that he used to hide his phone in the toilet with the video mode on to click pictures of women. — LBG, GMANews.TV

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

DRUGGIE diedafter being overcome by the heat from cannabis farm
« Reply #15 on: May 18, 2010, 11:03:13 AM »

DRUGGIE Luke Holmes died in bed after being overcome by the heat from cannabis farms inside his home.

Holmes, 28, set up three foil-lined tents each containing marijuana plants cultivated under a battery of halogen lamps.

The powerful lights sent the temperature in his home soaring to more than 100°F (38°C), an inquest heard.

Holmes died in his sleep and was found three days later when pals broke into his house in Halifax, West Yorks.

Police almost fainted from the heat when they entered the property on a warm day last June.

The inquest in Bradford heard that Holmes was a drug user, although no drugs were found in his system.

He died from hyperthermia, or excessive heat. Verdict: Accident.
