AACCUP President Ngohayon discloses fruits of partnership with SUCsThe plenary sessions during Day 1 ended with Dr. Serafin L. Ngohayon, President of AACCUP disclosing fruits of partnership between PASUC and AACCUP. Among those he mentioned were the increase of student enrollment in SUCs and their improved quality of education as manifested in better passing rate in PRC Exams , and increased COEs and CODs.
He likewise pointed out the emergence of better teaching and learning facilities as a result of the partnership. In the efforts made towards stronger partnership, financial viability and stability and rationalization of fees to cover actual costs and improved existing evaluation instrument were among the many reforms conducted. Before he ended his piece, he posed the challenges and opportunities of quality assurance in the country, assuring the audience that accreditation is still the most effective means to ensure quality in academic programs and institutions.
