The
Holy Name University earned another feather on her cap when Mr. Jose Nazareno, the Alumni Affairs Office Coordinator, was awarded one of the top performing Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Managers of Region VII. THe award was given by Ms. Ma. Gloria A. Tangco, Director of the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office VII, Cebu City.
In his less than a year of service as HNU's Alumni Affairs Coordinator, Nazareno has already served the public in general and the HNU almuni in particular by
organizing activities that helped the jobless find employment. Prior to his appointment as Alumni Coordinator, Nazareno had served as staff of the office of Cultural Affairs and Development (OCAD) where he also worked for the promotion of Boholano Arts and Culture. As staff, he helped manage the Diwanag Dance Theatre and Cultural Troupe.
Nazareno also serves as Vice Chair of the Holy Name University Multipurpose Cooperative (HOMCO) and chairs the Education Committee that has been instrumental in sponsoring seminars and trainings for its members.
