Be a student in Japan! The Japanese government now opens its application for the 2012 Japanese Government Scholarship for Teacher Training and Japanese Studies category
According to the Japanese Embassy, the scholarship is open to all Filipinos who can meet the following requirements:

Teacher Training
•Teaching at elementary or secondary educational institution or academic staff in a teacher training school (College professors are not eligible).
• At least 5 years teaching experience, and
• Good academic standing.
Under 35
yrs old
Education management, methods of education, special subjects, observation study, etc.
Japanese Studies
• Majoring in fields related to the Japanese language or culture in universities.
• Enough knowledge of the Japanese language, and
• Good academic standing
18 to 29 years old
Japanese language, life & culture, etc.
Application forms and requirements are available at the JICC Library in Manila or may be downloaded from the Embassy Website: (
www.ph.emb-apan.go.jp/culture/scholarship/index.htm).
Free scholarship consultations are also held at the library of the Embassy of Japan every Friday from 9:00 a.m, to 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Interested applicants must bring a valid ID to enter the embassy premises.
Deadline for submission of requirements is on February 29, 2012 (Wednesday).
