Thirty-one schools from the different towns in Bohol joined the Informatics' 5th Annual On-The-Spot Digital Poster Making Competition on September 28 held at Informatics Computer Institute, this city.
Out of the 31 schools, Joseph Ingking, of Holy Name University emerged overall grand champion beating Johnoel Christopher Dunting (Tagbilaran City Science High School) first runner up, and Malyn Loremia (Dagohoy High School), second runner up, respectively. Each of the three winners received trophies, medals and Informatics scholarship grants, as well as freebies from Dunkin’ Donuts.
Ryan Tirol, center manager, said that the contest was conducted in response to the provincial government's thrust in promoting information technology (IT) and in the development of our public and private school's IT capabilities province wide. He further noted that as a testament of its sincere dedication to uphold its global leadership in IT training and education services, Informatics-Bohol will continue to organize IT-related competitions in the next following months.
The winners’ respective coaches were Ace Uy (Holy Name University), Jenelou John Israel (Tagbilaran City Science High School), and Jaclea Rulida (Dagohoy High School).
