www.boholtimesworld.com Ethel Gladys L. Bonite, the third among a brood of five by Elias ?Dong? Bonite of Panglao, Bohol and Gloria Lagria Bonite of Lila, Bohol has been granted half-scholarship for a Masteral Degree in Business Administration and Management by the International Graduate University (IGU), Washington D.C.
Ethel completed her elementary and high school education from St. Mary?s School, Mandumol, Macasandig, Cagayan de Oro City where the family stayed for more than 20 years before finally deciding to settle in their home province of Bohol. She is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from the Dominican College in San Juan, Metro Manila.
On board Korean Airways flight 0085 on December 27, 2007 Ethel was admitted into the United States through the John F. Kennedy airport in New York. She was fetched by her uncle Ruel and aunt Lorna Caroz who are based in New York. During her brief stay in New York City, Betty Veloso-Garcia, the TBTK Chairperson, and husband Bebs, welcomed and assisted her.
Ethel left New York for Washington D.C. with her uncle and aunt on January 2, 2008. They were ushered into the capital city of the United States by no less than Engr. Serge Doverte, the President of the Boholano Organization of Greater Washington DC or BOGWAS.
She reported to IGU on the January 3, 2008 and immediately attended classes on the same day.
