Two young leaders leave Bohol for China this week, they would be part of the country’s ten delegates to the two-month free Senior Study and Research Program for International Young Cadres, according to the National Youth Commission (NYC).
The two, both from the Provincial government have been also pre-qualified to represent the country to the 2008 training organized by Guangxi International Institute from September 10 to November 10 of this year, says Visayas Commissioner Benjie Oliva.
Earlier, the China Guangxi International Youth Exchange Institute invited ten Filipino participants to its Curriculum Plan of Senior Study and Research Program for International Young Cadres.
Christopher Boncales and Emerson Pinos, both working at the Capitol have qualified and would leave this week for the mandatory pre-departure orientations, Oliva said recently.
Boncales works as front desk and guest relations and operations officer and in-house tour guide at the office of Bohol’s chief executive while Pinos works as graphic lay-out artist and information technology specialist at the Provincial Government Media Affairs and as a Sangguniang Kabataan volunteer.
Participants to the training program should be outstanding young cadres of youth union or young officials of government institutions aged between 25 to 40 years old, physically and psychologically healthy, the NYC application form stated.
Participants must also be able to prepare for the concerned monograph to fulfill the communication and discussion for certain seminars, the government youth website page detailed.
While in the program, representatives learn Chinese lessons, Chinese culture, are given monographic lectures, exchange and research lessons as well as trained in social investigation.
The training also hands in costs and international airfare and accommodation of the participants, while each participant gets 600 yuan (RMB) per month for meals.
