LTFRB to PUV franchise holders: Get online, tamper-proof CPC

MANILA - The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Friday urged public utility vehicles (PUVs) franchise holders to acquire tamper proof on-line verifiable certificates of Public Convenience (CPCs).

LTFRB Board Member Ariel Inton said that all grantees of PUV franchise are requested to secure on-line verifiable CPCs in line with the Board’s campaign against colorum vehicles and fixers.

CPCs can be secured from the Technical Division of the LTFRB.

Inton said that failure on the part of the grantees to secure their tamper proof CPCs will be a cause for not accepting any application as petition involving the said franchise and/or non-certification of the authorized units included in the said franchise.

Issuance of the on-line verifiable CPCs was delayed last June.

LTFRB Chairman Winston Ginez already issued a Memorandum for the urgent and strict implementation of the Memorandum Circular 2014-006. As per the Circular the schedule is as follows.

Expiration of CPC Schedule:

Newly issued certificates of Public Convenience and franchises expiring in the year

2014 CPC will be issued as the Decision is released

Year 2015 (July – August 31, 2014)

Year 2016 (September 1 – December 31, 2014)

Year 2017 (November 1 – December 31, 2014)

Year 2018 (January 1 – February 28, 2015)

Year 2019 (March 1 – April 30, 2015)

Inton meanwhile warned that failure to comply with this provision will be meted a fine of Php 1, 000 per month of delay counted from the lapse of the said 30 days period. (PNA)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
